I grew up with dalmatians and bull terriers as the family pets and became involved in breed conformation showing in 1992 after I bought my first Dalmatian show dog, followed by a Parson Russell Terrier in 1995 and my first Siberian Husky in 1996.
I breed Dalmatian and Parson Russell Terriers under the Charizelle kennel name and Siberian Huskies under the Snowolf kennel name.
We live on a 5 acre Lifestyle block just out of Morrinsville in the Waikato District of New Zealand. We also have a couple head of Cattle which help to keep the grass in the dogs runs under control and the freezer full.
We strive to breed dogs as true to breed type as possible with their initial function prominantly in mind. As most puppies are sold as pets, temperament plays a huge part in our breeding program and all puppies are reared in a home environment with the the help of my children. Health testing is extremely important to us and our Dalmatian puppies are all BAER hearing tested before leaving for their new homes and our adults are hip and elbow scored, BAER tested and eye checked. Parson Russell's are all DNA tested for PLL, LOA and SCA and most have been BAER tested and hip & elbow scored as well. Siberian Huskies are all eye tested annually, hip & elbow scored and our foundation stock thyroid tested.
I am also licenced to judge Group 2 (terriers) and Group 7 (non-sporting) at championship level and am currently working towards Group 6 (utility) in 2014.
